    Gannon James Heider was born to parents Jason and Andrea Heider of Ritzville on May 18, at Sacred Heart Medical Center. At birth, Gannon weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces; and measured 20 inches in length. Gannon joins four-year-old sister Alaina. Paternal grandparents are Jim and Tami Heider of Ritzville. Maternal grandparents are Anacleto (deceased) and Lina Criste of Molokai, Hawaii. Great grandparents are Robert (deceased) and Evelyn Heider of Spokane....

  • Soul Cafe reopens on Friday with concert

    The Soul Café will be reopening Friday, July 17. Local Christian rock band Axe of Mercy from Lind will be performing in preparation for their upcoming performance at Creation Fest. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the event catered by Classy Country Catering. Dinner includes pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, cole slaw and a dessert for $8.
