  • Good thoughts, bad thoughts

    Dale Anderson|Updated Jul 5, 2018

I’m sure you have your beliefs in how important social media is in your daily life. I know that people will put things in an email or on Facebook that, for the most part, they would never say to someone face-to-face. But if they accidently send out a Facebook post or a Tweet, you can edit it in your mind can’t you? Now I’m not a prude by any means, but I do cringe a bit when I see something that I think is over the top gets sent out. I hear about it all of the time that someo...

He sent me to an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor who discovered I had a tumor wrapped around my vocal chords. I had so little air left that I was rushed to surgery for a tracheotomy at 79 years old. I am now 81 and h... Full story

  • The Jetsons’ cartoon robots now reality

    Don C. Brunell, Business Commentator|Updated Jul 5, 2018

The Jetsons television series about a space-age family featuring “Rosey the Robot” gave us a preview of life with robots, kiosks and interactive television. In 1962, it was a fictitious cartoon. However, in 2018, many of The Jetsons’ conveniences are a reality. Take fast food restaurants, for example. Faced with a growing shortage of workers and increased costs, some are turning to robots to flip hamburgers and clean grills: mundane, unpleasant and hard to fill jobs. Wendy’s installed self-cleaning ovens to eliminate the mes... Full story
