    Due to the Fourth of July holiday, The Ritzville Adams County Journal will be operating under an early deadline for the July 5 publication. The deadline for all content and advertising submissions will be Monday, July 2, at 5 p.m. The Journal office will be closed on the Fourth of July in observance of the holiday.     The Lind Community Church will host the annual Picnic in the Park on Saturday, July 7, beginning at 5 p.m. at Lind Town Park.     Ritzville Fire Department Chief Joel Bell is reminding area residents to be cautious this Fourth of July holiday with the use of fireworks.     The last date to for voters to register online, through the mail, transfer or update an existing registration for the Primary Election is Monday, July 9.     The Adams County Board of Commissioners approved a proposal from Camtek Inc., to install a wireless access control door system for the courthouse, at the June 25 meeting. The proposal is for $34,063.88, plus sales tax. Public Works Director Todd O’Brien said the Public Works Department has the funds budgeted for the project.     At the June 13 meeting, the Ritzville Planning Commission voted to forward a recommendation to City Council regarding storage containers on residential properties.     During the June 19 meeting, the Ritzville City Council authorized Mayor Gary Cook to sign a contract between the City and Evergreen Rural Water of Washington (ERWoW) for income survey services for $6,927.89.
