    Bernita “Jackie” Ozell Renn, age 90, died June 8, 2011, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. She was born April 7, 1921, at Topeka, Kan., the daughter of Willard and Hazel Vilander. She attended school and graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 1939. She met and married Vincent O. Renn in 1949. He died in 1976. She moved to Lind in 1974 to be near her mother following the death of her father. She worked for Golden Grain Café for four years. Prior to that she was a clerk/typist at McChord Air Force Base.     Donna B. Arp, age 79, died June 9, 2011, surrounded by family singing her favorite hymns. She was born May 20, 1932, to Don B. Freed and Sara Jane Lozier in a log cabin built from railroad ties in Perrysville, Ohio. Her maternal grandmother, two uncles and their wives raised her on a farm in Perrysville following the death of her mother when she was six years old.     Members of Ritzville High School’s Class of 1987 are hosting a benefit fundraiser for a classmate this Friday and Saturday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2739.     Open burning within Adams County and Ritzville city limits will close at dusk on Sunday, June 26, according to Adams County Fire Protection District No. 1 Chief Scott Kembel and Ritzville Fire Chief Andy Lefevre. No open fires for the burning of vegetation or other matter are permitted. Burning season will remain closed until some time in the fall.     Ritzville mayoral candidate Martin Heinrich-George Deeg made a preliminary appearance in Kootenai County District Court on Monday to face a felony charge of aggravated assault. Deeg was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday, June 10, in the Hayden Lake area of Idaho by the Kootenani County Sheriff’s Office.     Ritzville Municipal Golf Course will be the place to be for aspiring young golfers beginning on Monday, June 20. The annual Junior Golf Camp starts that day.
