Millard R. “Bob” Bowman died at the age of 86 on April 22 at The Life Care Center in Ritzville. He was born on Feb. 21, 1927, to Millard and Neva Bowman. He resided in southern California during his youth and served in the Navy during WWII. He married Carol Bourne of Ramona, Calif., in 1956 and had two children. Arthur Paul Ott, died at the age of 96 on April 30 in Chewelah. He was born on Oct. 28, 1916, to Albert and Elsie (Wellsandt) Ott in Ritzville. A 1975 graduate of Ritzville High School, Duane has spent over 30 years dedicating his life to fighting fires and protecting those in his community. A community project is being held on Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. to beautify the Ritzville Municipal Golf Course and clubhouse. The members of the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are partnering with members of the Ritzville Golf Association to complete the work.
