An energetic and enthusiastic group of fifth grade students from Ritzville Grade School gathered in Ritzville City Park on April 25 to celebrate Arbor Day. Ritzville Lions Club members will observe White Cane Days on May 2-3. They will canvas the community collecting donations for Northwest Lions Foundation’s efforts to help adults and children who need treatment for vision loss. After the tragic landslide in Oso earlier this year, a group of local women banded together to use their talents to help residents of the area affected by the landslide. The women of the Peace by Piece Quilt Guild have been busy making supplies and donations to send to the area to supply the individuals affected by the tragedy with some comfort.
