    The First Annual Lind-Ritzville FFA Plant Sale begins Thursday, April 30, at the newly constructed greenhouse on South Columbia Street, directly behind the Ag Shop. The sale runs from 4-8 p.m. on April 30 and May 1, and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. The FFA chapter has thousands of plants available for purchase, just in time for Mother’s Day.     Members of the Lind Alumni Association have announced the annual Lind Alumni Banquet is being held this coming Saturday, May 2, at the Lind-Ritzville Middle School gymnasium, formerly Lind High School.     The annual meeting of the Ritzville Museum Volunteers has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at Memories Diner. A no-host luncheon immediately follows the meeting.     Tickets for the 2015 Ritzville High School (RHS) and Lind-Ritzville High School Alumni Banquet have been mailed. The Alumni Banquet will be held on May 23 at 6 p.m. at Gilson Gymnasium in Ritzville. Ticket sales for this year’s banquet hosted by the Ritzville and Lind-Ritzville Alumni Association will end on Monday, May 16. Tickets are $25 each until the deadline, with the price increasing to $28 each after the deadline.   • Ritzville residents asked to be on alert for counterfeit bills

    On April 27 there were three $50 counterfeit bills passed at local businesses in Ritzville. Each of the bills has the same serial number. The paper quality is not the same as US Currency, there are no visible embossed strips when you hold the bills up to light, the ink appears smeared, the color is off, there are no fibers visible in the paper, and the photo and other markings are not crisp.     Ritzville Grade School is now enrolling kindergarten students for the upcoming school year. Students must be five years of age by Aug. 31, with proper immunization records and birth certificate required for enrollment.   • Gumball Rally draws 37 vehicles for annual event

With the largest turnout in history, nearly 40 vehicles of varying age, color and history joined in the Gumball Rally, which left from Ritzville City Park on the morning of April 26.
