The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague tennis team traveled to Davenport on April 17 for a league match. The LRS girls’ team swept the match with a 5-0 record over the Gorillas, and the Bronco boys returned home with a 4-1 record. On April 15, our country was once again subjected to a terrorist attack, this time in Boston. At the finish line of the Boston Marathon one bomb went off, followed by another a block away. Three people were killed including an eight-year-old boy. More than 150 were wounded by nails and ball bearings, and whatever else was packed into the homemade pressure cooker bombs. Upon contact, the complainant advised they were driving southbound on Adams at the railroad crossing and did not see the crossing arms due to the sun being in their eyes.
