Northwest Carry and Defend will be teaching a Multi-State Concealed Weapons Permit Class for Washington and Idaho residents, on Saturday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall in Lind. This class meets the requirements to apply for a Multi-State Permit, which allows permit holders to carry in over 33 states and is used in conjunction with the Washington permit. The Washtucna School District is celebrating the success of students reading a total of 16,185 pages. With a total of 22 students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade, the students excelled during the “Dig Into Reading” month. The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague baseball team competed against the undefeated Colfax Bulldogs on April 9, and proved to be a tough competitor for their opponent. The Lady Broncos were able to push ahead to win their first game of the day on April 9 when they faced the Colfax Lady Bulldogs at noon on their home field. The two teams were evenly matched and showed this through the back and forth scoring that took place during the doubleheader.
