The H.E. Gritman Senior Center will host the monthly pancake breakfast on Friday, April 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pancakes, a choice of ham or sausage, and juice or coffee, are on the menu with a suggested donation of $5 per person. A memorial service is set for Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. for beloved music teacher Dennis Koch. The service will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Koch was a longtime instructor in the Ritzville School District, beginning his tenure in 1968. A 1957 graduate of Ritzville High School, he taught music in the district for 30 years. The People For People organization is now providing roundtrip transportation from Ritzville to Moses Lake for individuals with medical, business and shopping needs. The fare-free shuttle leaves Ritzville four days a week and provides residents with a convenient way to travel to Moses Lake for necessary services. The Ritzville Volunteer Ambulance Association (RVAA) is the recent recipient of a variety of potentially lifesaving equipment because of a generous donation from the East Adams County Healthcare (EACH) Foundation committee. I’m tired of seeing letters in this paper criticizing the hospital district board members and their actions. Where were the letter writers when the board was holding its latest open meeting?
