Vernon A. Wellsandt died at the age of 91 on Feb. 27 in Moses Lake. He was born on Sept. 12, 1921, to Ludwig A. Wellsandt and Catherine Harder (Jess) Wellsandt on the family farm near Ralston, Wash. Catherine’s first husband, John Jess had died in August of 1918. He is survived by his sister, Erma Ferderer Spencer. Vernon Wellsandt and Elsie Verner were married April 14, 1949. Walter Bruce Wilsey died at the age of 84 on Feb. 28. He was born in Lewiston, Idaho, to Lula Burkett Wilsey and Walter Leo Wilsey on Aug. 24, 1929. He was one of seven children and the family lived in Asotin, Wash. He graduated from Asotin High School in 1947, attended Lewis and Clark College for two years before enlisting in the Air Force, serving for four years. Gwendolyn (Waddoups) Ruegsegger died at the age of 83, on Feb. 28 at an adult home care facility in Spokane Valley where she had been living since April 2012. She was born in Ogden, Utah on Aug. 3, 1929, to Cyrus and Nola Waddoups. On Aug. 18, 1949, she married Eldon Ruegsegger of Daniels, Idaho.
