    The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague tennis team has competed in a variety of non-league matches to prepare for the league season to begin this week. The Broncos started with a non-league match against Freeman on Thursday, March 14, and the LRS girls played Odessa-Harrington on March 19.   • LR FFA successful at districts

    The Lind-Ritzville FFA chapter members have been busy competing in the district Career Development Event (CDE) contests over the past two weeks. In the creed competition, 10 contestants from District 9 competed for the top three places to earn a trip to state in the FFA Creed Contest.     The Lind-Ritzville Middle School Associated Student Body (ASB) officers had the unique opportunity of participating in a national symposium on March 8. The ASB officers completed a presentation about online dating and relationships, and spoke live during a webinar conference with a variety of other presenters.     Glen Marvin Tompkins died at the age of 76 on March 15 in Richland, Wash., from Parkinson’s Disease. He was born Nov. 27, 1936 to Harry and Mary (Kissler) Tompkins in Hatton, Wash., the youngest of six children. They later moved to Ritzville where he attended school and graduated from Ritzville High School in 1954 before attending Eastern Washington University.
