    Thank you John Rankin and the loyal RDDA volunteers who have worked together to update our local Theatre. It will remain a special place in our hearts and community.     This is an open letter to what appears to be a growing number of dog owners who have decided the Wheat Land Communities’ Fairgrounds is a good place to let their dog, or in some cases dogs, run loose. I walk and jog through the fairgrounds regularly. Contrary to the apparent opinion of some dog owners, the Wheat Land Communities Fairgrounds is not an off-leash dog park.     The Ritzville Lions Club spent an evening volunteering their time to assist the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague athletic program.     Joyce Irene (McClung) Reilly of Cheney, formerly of Waukon, died on March 18. Joyce was born June 14, 1929, in St. Maries, Idaho to Fred McClung and Agnes (Fish) McClung. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1947. She married Dee L. Reilly in 1950 and lived on the family dairy farm for many years. Joyce was a 50-year member of the Waukon Grange and was a member of the Martha Chapter of Eastern Star. She was a cook for the Reardan-Edwall School District at the Edwall location for several years and she was the last...

    Norman W. Herdrich, 71, died on March 18 from a pulmonary embolism. Norm had recently undergone two spinal surgeries, and Norm’s body and mind did not tolerate the procedures well. Norman W. Herdrich was born July 17, 1942, at Sacred Heart Hospital to Fred Herdrich and Florice Birchill Herdrich. His parents farmed in the Colville area, but soon moved to Wilbur to farm.     Margaret Johnson died from a heart attack on March 22 at the Royal Columbian assisted care facility in Kennewick at the age of 88. She was a loving mother, wife, sibling and a true friend to many. Margaret was born on Nov. 11, 1925, to Fred and Alvina Meise in Quincy, Ill. Margaret graduated from Washtucna High School in 1944.
