  • Goal Setting

that I mean how important are state tournaments in the lives of the partici|Updated Mar 16, 2017

I think a good follow up to last week’s column about the state tournament is to talk a little more about state tournaments in general. Every year that I attend the state tournament I see people that played there a long time ago. I played there 47 years ago and I still remember some of the conversations I had with people throughout those four days. I remember fouling out of the last game I played with about two minutes left and I remember the look on the refs face when he called that foul. It was probably the easiest call h... Full story

Our financial lives are about to radically change and a literal risk to our health...

Senator Mark Schoesler, Ninth District|Updated Mar 16, 2017

Washington’s constitution does not clearly prohibit a state income tax, contrary to what many think. I’d like for the voters of our state to finally have the chance to shield themselves from an income tax – at both the state and local level. The Senate minority doesn’t share that opinion, however. Please keep reading for the details. On Wednesday evening the Senate wrapped up its voting on bills introduced by senators. For the next few weeks the action will again be focused at the committee level, as we consider bills p... Full story
