    Our President has been reading the polls and they are causing him to make mistakes. Unfortunately he chose to bemoan his predicament on MLK Day, which was really in questionable taste.     Louis Edward Longmeier II died unexpectedly Feb. 24. Louis was born to Edwin L. and Rosaline J. Longmeier August 30, 1950, the fourth of five children.     Miriam Lenhart, age 87, of Odessa, died on Jan. 20. She was born in 1926 to William and Ida Wahl of Lind, and was raised on their family farm in the Ralston area. She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1944. Miriam married Laurence Lenhart of Odessa in 1949. A daughter, Cheri, was born in 1950 and a son, Gary, in 1953. The family spent some years in California before returning to the Odessa area in 1967 to farm the Lenhart family land.
