    The H.E. Gritman Senior Center will hold its annual meeting on Friday, Jan. 27. A potluck meal will begin at 12 p.m. with the business portion of the meeting following immediately after. The Senior Center Board would like to remind members dues for 2017 are being collected. This includes a $10 membership fee, which assists in keeping the Center operational and providing the home cooked meals served at the facility. Members of the H.E.     Inland Northwest Blood Center is returning to Ritzville for a Blood Drive at Lind-Ritzville High School on Monday, Feb. 6. The event is coordinated by the Lind-Ritzville High School Community Blood Drive Volunteers, who are led by Jason Aldrich. The Blood Drive takes place inside the hallway of Gilson Gymnasium. Donation hours are from 11:30 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest.     The Ritzville City Council reviewed and discussed Ordinance No. 2105 pertaining to establishing regulations for marijuana production, processing and retail sales within the city limits during their meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19.     Weird week wasn’t it? So there is no school on MLK Day of course but then the weather took over. School for half a day and then there is freezing rain which closes school around 12:30. The next two days started off as two hour delays and would end off closing for the day. Practices have been canceled and games have been postponed.     The Broncos Wrestling team showcased improvement in their overall skill during the Coyote Classic Tournament in Kittitas On Saturday, Jan. 21. The athletes who competed in the tournament were Tristan Regan, Alex Whitman, Dylan Lane, Garrett Correll, Maisa Ferderer and Chelsie Watterson.     In the Jan. 19 edition of The Journal, the article regarding the closure of East Adams Care Center had multiple sentences needing clarification. The Adams County Hospital District No. 2 submitted the application to the state for the potential conversion of EACC into a wing of the hospital in July 2016.
