    RITZVILLE – The Bronco girls basketball team is 3-1 after winning three games and losing a close match in Kettle Falls by two points Friday, May 21. The girls had the lead in the first half with the score 14-10 at first quarter's end, and 21-19 at halftime. They kept the lead at the end of the third quarter, 28-24.     RITZVILLE – The boys' basketball is 4-0 so far with wins against Chewlah, Kettle Falls, Reardan and Northwest Christian. The Broncos beat Kettle Falls 63-45 Friday, May 21, and beat Chewelah the next night 70-44.     RALSTON – A half dozen men with ties to Ralston, Benge and Washtucna gave their lives in World War II, fighting for freedom for America. Their stories are memorialized at the Ralston Memorial Park, a project sponsored by Ralston Grange #943. Robert Kenneth Kent grew up in Benge and enlisted in the Army at the same time his brother Herbert was drafted, so the two could be together.     RITZVILLE — The H.E. Gritman Senior Center is not serving lunches this week or Monday, Memorial Day, but will re-open June 1. The Center opens at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, and serves lunch at noon. They also deliver lunches, and anyone can order take-out.     LIND — The sprinkler system is up and running at the Lind Cemetery following installation of a new water line. The new water line runs from 8th Street to the Southwest corner of the Lind Cemetery, and the project includes a new pump and pumphouse.     RITZVILLE – The jury trial of a man arrested for two counts of first degree murder and two counts of removal or concealment of a body has been continued from May 25 to August 24. Mauricio Nava-Garibay, 28, was arrested January 28 for the deaths of Dora Elia Martinez, 57, and her daughter, Guadalupe Martinez, 30.
