This increase has made local business owners nervous and uncertain about the changes they might have to make in the near future. Lind Community Church welcomed new pastor Jeremy McLellan to the church earlier his year. McLellan and his family moved from Sandy Valley, Nev., to Lind during the end of July. McLellan, his wife Christy and their three children, Timothy, Bailey and Abigail, are now members of the Lind community and hope to revitalize the Lind Community Church. The Adams County Commissioners unanimously approved the 2012-2017 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) during the morning session on Monday, Dec. 5. Lind High School now has a robotics team among their high school students that plans to participate in the largest robotics competition in the United States this upcoming year. The team will consist of 20 students and they will be building a robot to use in a competition in 2012. Bill and Jeanette Wills have the honor of being the Grand Marshals for the Lind Chamber of Commerce’s 12th annual Lind Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 11. Jeanette Wills was born and raised in Lind, while Bill Wills grew up in Kentucky. Big Bend Community College has donated eight more computers to the Ritzville library for the community to use. The computers will be located downstairs in the library and will be available for full use sometime in the next few weeks. There are already seven computers at Ritzville High School and five at Lind High School that have been donated by Big Bend. The LaCrosse-Washtucna boys gained their first win against Garfield-Palouse on Saturday, Dec. 3, with a final score of 53-35. The Project 56 committee held a public meeting on Thursday, Nov. 17, to discuss the current progress and plans for the ongoing project. The group unanimously decided to refocus and continue the plans for expansion of the track, and only the track.
