National FFA week gives FFA members a chance to educate the public about agriculture. During the week, chapters host teacher appreciation breakfasts, speak to the public about agriculture, volunteer for community service projects and more. To celebrate the end of National FFA week on Friday, Feb. 22, the Lind- Ritzville FFA Chapter officer team traveled up to Spokane to deliver the items that were collected for the Ronald McDonald House and cook a breakfast for its residents....
My horse Chinook, my “official pooper scoopers;” Kierstin Witt and Aaliyah Yaeger, and I participated in the Springdale Parade and Rodeo on July 21. We placed third out of about eight other rodeo queens. I did a rodeo run, and Kierstin and Aaliyah participated in the stick horse race during the rodeo as well, with Kierstin winning first. On July 14, we went to the Cheney Parade and Rodeo. We received honorable mention, and I also did my rodeo run there.... Full story
The Ritzville Distinguished Young Women and the Ritzville Rodeo Queen recently went to the Moses Lake Spring Festival, Grand Moonlight Parade on May 26. Amalia Perez, Brooke Pichette and Taylor White (DYW) were on their float called Girls n’ Pearls, received second place. Haley Oestreich, Ritzville Rodeo Queen, didn’t place.
