The Burroughs family home was originally built in 1890. It was a small and simple Queen Anne style home sitting on two blocks of the Original Town of Ritzville. The Frank R. Burroughs home was built 125 years ago. The Ritzville Museum Volunteers will host an ice cream social on Saturday, Aug. 15, in honor of the celebration. In many ways, Dr. Frank R. Burroughs was the father of Ritzville. While others named it and still others made fortunes from it, the doctor healed its sick and delivered its children.
